In 2010, Black Bear Diner & 3 Bears Inc. said good-bye to a special friend and icon of our concept. Brandi was our amazing mascot, a female Cinnamon Black Bear. She weighed approximately 350 lbs. and stood approximately 6 feet tall. Brandi was born at the West Coast Game Park in Bandon, Oregon on February 26, 1989, and was adopted as a small cub by Charlie Sammut (George’s brother) to Wild Things Inc. in August of 1989. Wild Things is a full-contact exotic animal training facility in Salinas, CA. See www.wildthingsinc.com Many will agree that Brandi was by far one of the safest, most talented, and best working bears in the film and television industry! She could perform just about any behavior imaginable. Her trained behaviors included: walking, running, standing, digging, waving, incredible snarls, shaking hands, A to B, dancing, kissing, shaking head, lying on side to play dead, sitting up and a lot more! She worked completely loose, and required no hot lines or tethers. She was safe around children and traveled well in most any environment. Brandi will always be remembered as part of our concept foundation, and will be missed by all who ever had the special opportunity to meet or work with her. Special thanks to Charlie Sammut for making her a part of us. Brandi Film Credits:
